Basic Strategy Charts

Blackjack basic strategy chart ideas first sprung into people's mind in the eighties, when computers began to be a common thing. Everybody likes money, and mathematicians are no different. It was not long until some of them started to use their math skills in Blackjack. If you are aware of how many decks are used in a game and the rules the table follows you have enough information to play a "smart game".

Basic strategy came to life when a bunch of researchers programmed a computer for Blackjack. The purpose of the computer was to analyze the game and every card combination possible. The computer will then tell you the best decision you may take.

Basic strategy is nothing more than a chart with suggestions on what decision to take (S\ Stand, H\ Hit, D\ Double, Y\ Yes, split, N\ No, don't split, Ds\ Double if allowed, if not, stand). On the left column numbers and letters are displayed, such as A, 3 (must be read as Ace, 3). These are graphic representations of the first two cards dealt to you.
