Standard Blackjack Tables

Apr 26th 2007

If you are playing card games for sure you've discovered that they all have one thing in common. All standard Blackjack tables are shaped as a semicircle. The casino dealer stands on one side, and up to 7 or 8 players on the other. The first base seat is the one to the far right, and the third base seat is the one to the far left. Picking the right seat can mean an advantage or disadvantage for you.

There are several things that you will find on a Blackjack table. In front of the casino dealer you will see the chips, placed in special racks. Chips are used to gamble, and players may buy chips directly from the casino dealer. The decks of cards are kept in a white box that is also placed in front of the casino dealer. This is called a shoe and it is a must have in multi deck games. In single deck games shoes are not used as they are not necessary.

Players will place their bets in the small rectangle or circle right in front of them. Inside this circle or rectangle casinos usually have the word "bet" printed. It is more than easy to understand what to do and where you must do it.
