Even though they are casino games of luck, or casino games that involve skill, all casino games require at least a basis playing strategy if one wants to be ahead the game he is playing. But that it doesn't mean that all work and things to look for when choosing a playing strategy are:
- - it has to make sense
- - it has to suit your playing style
- - it has to bring financial returns
Now, let’s see discuss the famous Martingale system. The
martingale betting system that can be used both online and in land based casinos and is based on the money that is bet and the prospect of winning back losses by raising stakes.
So, the martingale system it is used like this. Look for a table with a minimum that fits with your available bankroll and play your hand making only minimum bets. In case you win then you bet the same amount again. In case you lose you double your bet and continue until you hit a winning hand.
Now, let’s look more into this martingale betting system. In any setting where are involved to players (player and dealer for example) the law of averages says that there is a 50/50 chance of winning. However, casinos have their laws and the house always has the advantage. Consequently, the dealer will win more hands than you do, so the player will certainly lose in the end.
On the other hand, if you double your bets each time it means that your returns are doubled also. In fact, the entire
blackjack martingale system is based on this idea. So, if you continue to double your bets until you hit a win it means that all previous losses will be recovered. After this you get back to minimum bets but with an increased bankroll, so you are ahead.
This sound great, but let’s think again. I did not said nothing about the situation in which you encounter a complete loss of funds before that big hit. The martingale betting system requires a strong bankroll. Indeed doubling makes sense, but what if you won’t have enough money before you manage to hit a win?
In conclusion, the blackjack martingale system can be successful but for players with large bankrolls. Players with smaller bankrolls can use it at micro tables but this will also mean that the profit will be smaller. So, the
martingale system reaches my all 3 criteria for a good playing system only for players with large bankrolls.
