Basic Blackjack Strategy

Basic strategy is a set of rules that instructs the player what decisions he should take and in which situations that you come across in blackjack you should do that. You choose your strategy depending on what type of blackjack is played, meaning how many decks are used or after what rules plays the dealer (stand on all 17s or hit on soft 17s).

If the dealer must hit on all soft 17's the house edge against the player is bigger and in order to accommodate the increased odds against him or her, the basic strategy has to be altered a little taking the change into consideration.
