Online casinos that use CryptoLogic software offer 2 types of blackjack: 8 Decks Blackjack and Single Deck Blackjack.
General Rules
- You may play only one hand a time. You may not play several hands at a time like in other casino blackjack games;
- The dealer will always stand on soft 17;
- You may double down regardless what initial two cards you have;
- You may double down a split hand;
- You may split your hand twice. After splitting a pair of Aces you will be dealt only one more card and the you have to stand.
- If the dealer's face up card is an Ace he will check for blackjack;
- Insurance is not allowed;
- Surrender is not allowed.
If you were planning to use a card counting strategy to win at 8 Decks Blackjack, you are in for a surprise. First of all it uses 8 decks of cards which is a challenge for any experienced card counter. But the thing that makes card counting impossible is the fact that all cards are re-shuffled after every round.
The betting minimum is $5 and the maximum is $300. The betting maximum can chance the table maximum, but the table minimum is a fix $5, which may be a little too rich for some players.
